“Perfect”

Just back from a lovely one night stay. The house is in a beautiful location. We were met by Pat and she was lovely and helpful booking us a table for dinner at nearby restaurant. The room was brilliant size and absolutely spotless. The en suite was also brilliant size and so clean. Couldn't have been any cleaner. Breakfast was delicious. Alan was really helpful suggesting where we could visit that day. We had a great chat with Alan and Pat before we left and would absolutely recommend Ardno House. It's perfect!

We stayed for 2 nights in August, our room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Easy and ample parking, wonderful breakfast, fantastic views. All enhanced by the charming hosts Pat & Alan, friendly and knowledgable, a credit to Scottish tourism.

Unfortunately, we were only able to stay here one nite on our way to Skye. The house is gorgeous, real old world elegance. The location is superb, with magnificent views. The room was large and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and served in the height of elegance. The hosts were warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. What more can we say?? Those who stay here are extremely fortunate! Enjoy!!!

“Great Place”

Reviewed 7 August 2014
I can't say enough good things about this B&B. We stayed here for 2 night--the room and bathroom were huge and the hospitality matched the size of the rooms. Te view is also to die for--our room overlooked the Loch and the sunsets were magnificant. There is a lounge on the top floor and it was well stocked with books and maps about the area. We were a party of 4 and it made for a great location to relax after doing a 22 mile bike trip. (The bike paths in this area are great!) It was a pleasure to talk with Alan and his wife. Great place to stay and can see why they have a #1 rating.

“Fantastic place to stay”

We spent 2 nights at Ardno House and we really cannot fault it.
Unfortunately, we didn't have a loch view but the bedroom we had overlooking the wood was spacious and tastefully decorated. As you step out of the bedroom, you have a beautiful view of the loch in the upstairs sitting room.
Breakfast was adequate and it was really nice to be offered kippers as bacon and eggs wears a bit thin after a while of staying in B&Bs.
Alan was really helpful if you wanted some advice on where to go. We opted for some local walks and the Glen Lochan trail was really lovely as well as the Anshee waterfall. We were recommended to go to the nearest restaurant at Holly Tree hotel (with a voucher) and the meal was lovely, I had venison and hubbie had steak - good value meals.
Glencoe is really beautiful and the road south to Edinburgh was spectacular.

“Lovely place to stay near Glencoe!”

Thanks to Alan and Pat for the lovely time at Ardno house. Our en suite room was spacious and immaculate, and we had a lovely view of the loch. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day exploring beautiful Glencoe. Our hosts gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and even allowed me to use the microwave in their private kitchen to heat up some sticky toffee pudding! All in all, a great place to stay with wonderful hosts. Thanks for making our trip to Glencoe so lovely!
